We have an immediate opening for a Full Stack Software Engineer in our engineering team at our headquarters in Burlington, MA. Initially new employees will work primarily remotely due to Covid-19 until it is safe to return to the office. Full Stack Developer

To support our growth, we are looking for a Full Stack Developer to increase our team’s capability, focused on building elegant and intuitive interfaces to the wind farm optimization analytics and control solutions we create. WindESCo is a relatively young company, so you will wear many hats, and there are many opportunities to grow with the company. In this role you will be working on a small team (

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to define requirements for, design, develop, and maintain WindESCo’s customer-facing dashboard.
  • Enhance and maintain WindESCo’s internal dashboard and reporting tools to maximize productivity and efficiency of data integration and customer success teams.
  • Develop UIs for cutting edge wind farm control systems, deployed both at the cloud and edge computing scales.
  • Help maintain existing codebases and cloud infrastructure for wind farm optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in engineering or computer science and 3+ years front end design and software development experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Expertise in one or more modern front end frameworks such as Vue.js, React, Angular.
  • Knowledge and passion for elegant design and intuitive UX.
  • Working knowledge of one or more web application frameworks, e.g., Flask, Express.
  • Experience with version control, automated testing and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience working with SQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:

  • Experience building/running systems with AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with the Python data science stack: NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Jupyter Notebook.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and graphic design for communication of technical information.
